Police Media Release - November 4, 2024

Breach of Probation
On November 3rd at 1:13PM a 28-year-old female was arrested in the 500 block of Princess Avenue on the strength of her outstanding warrant. She was held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning on November 4th, 2024.
Resist Arrest / Assault Police Officer / Possession of Psilocybin
On November 3rd at 3:22PM a traffic stop was conducted in the 400 block of Pacific Avenue. A 25-year-old male driver provided a sample of breath and blew a zero; however, police noted open liquor in the vehicle, placed him under arrest, and requested he exit the vehicle. The male resisted and became combative, striking the police officer. Police located psilocybin within the vehicle following his arrest. The male was later released on an Undertaking with a court date of December 19th, 2024
Theft Under $5000 X2
On October 24th police were made aware of a theft from a business in the Corral Centre (900 block of 18th Street) that occurred on October 8th where $500-$700 worth of merchandise was stolen. They also reported a second theft on October 16th where $350-$500 worth of merchandise was stolen. A 37-year-old male was identified through video surveillance. He was arrested on a separate matter on November 3rd and was also charged with these offences. He was released on an Undertaking with a court date of January 13th, 2025.
Assault
On November 3rd at 7:38PM police were requested to attend a residence in the 300 block of 25th Street where a 62-year-old male had physically assaulted his 54-year-old female partner. The female had escaped to a neighbour’s home, where they called for help and reported that he had also taken her phone and keys. The male was arrested and later released on conditions with a court date of December 16th, 2024.
