Police Media Release - November 25, 2024

Breach of Peace

On November 24th at 8:05AM police were called twice to a disturbance at a motel in the 1200 block of 1st North. Upon attending the second time a 49-year-old woman who was the primary cause of the issues was arrested, held in detention cells and will be released when calms down and cooperative.

 

Assault

On November 22nd a Loss Prevention Officer at a store in Corral Centre reported being assaulted by a female he was attempting to get stolen merchandise back from. A 30-year-old female who had previously been banned from the store had come in and attempted to steal. On November 24th she was located by police in the 600 block of Princess Avenue and was arrested. She was later released on an Undertaking with a court date of February 3rd, 2025.

 

Arrest Warrant

On November 24th police spotted a 52-year-old male walking in the 400 block of Princess Avenue who was known to have a Warrant for Arrest. He was arrested, lodged, and will attend court in the morning on November 25th, 2024. Charges: Assault with a Weapon X2 and Breach of Recognizance.

 

Assault / Failure to Comply with Probation

On November 24th at 11:10AM a female reported that on November 22nd she had an argument with her ex leading to an assault. The 30-year-old male has conditions not to attend the residence unless he is sober. During their argument the male slammed pregnant partner into the fridge which resulted in her falling on her belly. Female was transported to Brandon hospital. Upon male attending hospital to see her he was arrested, held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning on November 25th, 2024.

 

IPDA

On November 25th just after midnight a caller reported a hysterical person in the back lane of the 200 block of Douglas Street. Police attended and an 18-year-old female was transported to Brandon Hospital for cuts on her hands from when she broke her bong. The female was held in cells at BPS and will be released once sober.

 

Arrest Warrant

On November 25th at 1:46AM a traffic stop was conducted on a taxi. The 28-year-old female passenger had an unendorsed BPS Warrant for Arrest for Failure to Comply with Probation. She was arrested, held in cells and will attend court in the morning on November 25th, 2024.
