Warrants for Arrest

At 11:45 am, Police attended to a residence on Westaway Bay to apprehend a female suspect that Police were aware had an outstanding warrant. The 32 year old female was arrested on her warrant for assault and failing to attend court and was held in custody to appear in court in the morning.

At 3:32 pm, Police were called to a residence in the 600 block of 9^th St for a possible domestic situation. Upon dealing with the subjects, it was learned that 35 year old male had a warrant for his arrest issued by the RCMP. He was arrested for theft under $5,000, failing to comply with an undertaking, and fraud affecting the public market. He was released on an appearance notice to appear in court at a later date.

Assault

At 10:41 pm, staff at a business in the 3100 block of Victoria Ave reported a female had assaulted a staff member while being removed from the property. The 22 year old female was intoxicated and was arrested for assault and lodged until sober when she will be released on an appearance notice for court at a later date.

Impaired Driving/Refusal

At 1:36 am, a traffic stop was conducted in the 2600 block of Victoria Ave. The 35 year old male driver refused to provide breath samples on the roadside screening device and was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and refusing to provide breath samples. He was released on an appearance notice to appear in court at a later date.
