Police Media Release - May 5, 2025

Assault
On May 4th at 9:24AM, a call was received stating tenants of a residence in the 1300 block of Princess Avenue were having an argument. Caller reported they could hear screaming and items being thrown around. Upon police arrival, both parties disclosed being assaulted. Visible injuries on their faces lined up with this. The 26-year-old male and 22-year-old female were released on an Undertaking. A court date for Assault on June 30th, 2025 was set for the male and July 3rd, 2025 for the female.
Structure Fire
On May 4th at 10:55PM police responded to a structure fire alongside Brandon Fire & Emergency Services (BFES) and Manitoba Hydro. The fire originated in a garage in the 200 block of 11th Street but spread to an adjacent garage and hydro lines. BFES took control of the raging fire, saving multiple nearby structures. The incident remains under investigation.
