Police Media Release - May 2, 2025

Assault / Mischief Under $5000
On May 1st at 12:02PM a call was received for a disturbance at a residence on Cornell Bay. It was found that an assault had taken place as well as the 27-year-old male had broken the 26-year-old female’s phone in half. Police attended and arrested the male. The male was released on an Undertaking with a court date of July 14th, 2025.
Breach of the Peace
On May 1st at 6:23PM Police received a call stating that someone was in the 1200 block of Sycamore Drive and was trying door handles of the houses in the area. Police attended and located the described 23-year-old male. He was arrested and held in detention cells at BPS. He will be released in the morning.
Theft Under $5000
On May 1st at 9:01PM Police recognized a female at a business in the 100 block of 5th Street who was wanted in connection with a prior theft. The theft occurred on April 13th, 2025, at a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue. The 25-year-old female was arrested and later released via Undertaking with a court date of July 10th, 2025.
Possession of a Weapon / Failure to Comply Release Order
On May 2nd at 12:01AM staff from a business in the 1500 block of 18th Street called to report a suspicious male who had been in the washroom for an extended period of time. Police located a 31-year-old male in the washroom who was in possession of a knife, contrary to a Release Order condition. The male was arrested and later released via Undertaking with a court date of July 7th, 2025.
Arrest Warrants
In the past 24 hours five people were arrested for Warrants.
