Police Media Release - May 19, 2025

Protracted Incident

At 6:00PM, police attended an allegation of a robbery with a firearm in the 1200 block of 10th Street. Police located the residence, and members secured the property pending a search warrant. Police took several people into custody and members of the Brandon Police Major Crime Section are continuing to investigate. There were no major injuries and charges are pending.

Police cleared the area at 3:40AM.

Brandon Police believe that the parties knew each other and there was no risk to the public.

 

Disturbances 

During the evening of May 18th, Police attended several calls for people causing disturbances. At 7:30PM, police removed a 35y/o male from a local hotel and held him in custody until sober.

The other calls for service resulted in the police separating the subjects and sending them on their way.
