Police Media Release - May 15, 2025

Arrest Warrant
On May 14th at 10:59AM Police attended to the 1200 block of 9th Street and arrested a 26-year-old female on the strength of her Warrant for Arrest (Failure to Attend Court). She was held at BPS to attend court in the morning.
Theft Under $5000 / Breach of Probation
On May 14th at 12:49PM Police arrested a 27-year-old female for shoplifting from a store located in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue. The female had stolen cosmetics valued at approximately $50.00. The female was on conditions not to attend the store. She was released on an Undertaking with a court date of July 24th, 2025.
Theft Under $5000
On May 14th it was reported that on May 13th at 6:15PM a female had stolen a pair of shoes and pants valued at $128.00 from a business located in the 200 block of 6th Street. Video surveillance allowed Police to identify the 23-year-old female. Police located and arrested the female for Theft Under $5000. She was released on Undertaking with a court date of July 23, 2025.
Arrest Warrant
On May 14th at 5:33PM Police located and arrested a 24-year-old male in the 600 block of 6th Street on the strength of his Warrant for Arrest (Failure to Attend Prints). He was later released on an Appearance Notice with a court date of June 12th, 2025.
Assault
On May 14th at 7:24PM Police attended a residence in the 600 block of 24th Street due to a report of a woman assaulted by her husband. Police attended and arrested the 44-year-old male. Due to him not being able to provide an alternative address to reside at, he was held in detention cells for court in the morning.
Assault X2 / Uttering Threats
On May 14th at 9:11PM a 51-year-old intoxicated male attended a location in the 800 block of Pacific Avenue of which he had been banned from. The male became upset and started swearing at and threatening the worker. He then punched the worker in the arm. He attempted to push past the worker and the security guard. Police attended and the male was arrested, held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning.
IPDA/ Breach of Peace
In the last 24 hours four separate incidents took place where two individuals were arrested for IPDA (Intoxicated Persons Detention Act) as well as two individuals arrested for Breach of the Peace. They were held in detention cells to prevent further issues and will be released once sober in the morning.
