Possess Weapon / Assault with a Weapon / Carry a Concealed Weapon / Failure to Comply Release Order X2
On March 2nd at 8:38AM Police were called to a residence in the 400 block of 10th Street where a male was said to have a weapon and possibly had assaulted a female. Upon arrival it was found that a 48-year-old male had held a knife to a female’s neck while they were arguing. Police found a sheathed knife concealed in his waistband. (On conditions not to possess weapons). The male was arrested, held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning.
Arrest Warrant
On March 2nd while Police were attending a separate incident, a 63-year-old male was arrested on the strength of his endorsed Warrant for Arrest (Theft Under $5000, Failure to Attend Court). He was released via Appearance Notice with a court date of April 17th, 2025.
Breach of Undertaking
On March 2nd at 9:00AM Police were called to a disturbance outside of a business in the 1900 block of Queens Avenue. A male and female had been arguing. Upon police arrival it was found the male was on conditions not to communicate with the female. The male is from Alberta and was held for court.
Breach of the Peace
On March 2nd at 10:47AM Police were called to the 200 block of 18th St North where a male was kicking at cars. Upon arrival Police located the highly agitated and intoxicated 43-year-old male. He was arrested, held in detention cells and will be released once sober.
Arrest Warrant
On March 2nd at 9:14PM Police noted a 37-year-old female in the 2600 block of Alaska Bay. It was confirmed she had a Warrant for Arrest. Police arrested and transported the female to Brandon Police Service (BPS). She was later released on an Appearance Notice with a court date of April 3rd, 2025.
Attempt Theft Under $5000 / Assault
On March 2nd at 6:26PM Police were called to a business in the Corral Centre where a shoplifter assaulted an employee and left the store. The $1600 in merchandise was recovered by staff. Video surveillance was obtained, and the suspect was identified. Police located the suspect at her residence where she was arrested without incident. She was transported to BPS for processing and later released via Undertaking with a court date of May 5th, 2025.
IPDA (Intoxicated Persons Detention Act) / Minor Consumption
On March 3rd at 12:48AM Police were notified from a resident that someone was trying to get into their apartment on Tracey Street; several people remained outside and were shouting. Police attended and located three intoxicated females.
A 15-year-old female was arrested and charged with Breach of Probation (not to consume) and issued ticket for underage drinking.
A 13-year-old female was arrested and issued ticket for underage drinking.
A 20-year-old female was arrested and held at BPS for IPDA (Intoxicated Persons Detention Act).
All three were held in detention cells at BPS. The 20-year-old will be released once sober while the two youth will be released upon parental attendance and paperwork.
