Vehicle Fire – Arson

On March 20th at 7:50 AM Brandon Police alongside Brandon Fire and Emergency Services responded to a vehicle fire near 8th Street and Assiniboine Avenue. The fire was determined to be arson. A Perimeter was setup and K9 were called in. The incident remains under investigation.

 

Arrest Warrants

In the last 24 hours Brandon Police executed five Arrest Warrants. Four were released on an Appearance Notice while one who obtained a new charge of Theft Under $5000 was arrested, held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning on March 21st, 2025.

 

Breach of Peace

On March 20th at 7:03 PM Brandon Police were called to a disturbance in the 800 block of Pacific Avenue. An intoxicated 21-year-old male was trying to fight with his mother. He was arrested, no charges were pressed, and he will be held in detention cells until sober.

On March 21st at 2:36 AM Brandon Police were called to a disturbance in Cornell Bay. The original issue was resolved however police were called back to the area as a 28-year-old female continued to cause disturbances to her household as well as to other residents on the street. The female was arrested and will be held in detention cells until sober.

 

Theft Under $5000 / Failure to Comply Probation X2

On March 20th at 8:30 PM Police were called to a business in Corral Centre where a Loss Prevention Officer was currently outside the business attempting to arrest a shoplifter. The suspect was taken into custody and $86.21 worth of merchandise was recovered. The 34-year-old male was on two Probation Orders not to attend the store. He was arrested, held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning on March 21st. 2025.
