Police Media Release - March 18, 2025

Assault with a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon X2, Carrying Concealed Weapon X2

On March 17th at 7:46 AM it was reported that a 48-year-old female and a 45-year-old male, who were known to one another, got into a verbal argument outside of an establishment in the 600 block of Princess Avenue. The female pulled a knife. Police located the female in the area and arrested her. It was later revealed that she pulled two knives on him and threatened to stab him. She was held in detention cells at Brandon Police Service (BPS) for court.

 

Theft Under $5000

On March 10th a theft was reported at a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue. The suspect was captured on video stealing merchandise worth approximately $200. On March 17th the suspect was located during a pedestrian stop in the 600 block of Lorne Avenue. The male was charged and released with an Undertaking. The 21-year-old male has a court date set for May 12th, 2025.

 

Arrest Warrant

On March 17th at 2:55 PM a pedestrian stop was conducted in the 100 block of 9th Street. The 31-year-old male was confirmed to have a Warrant for Failure to Comply Probation. He was released with an Appearance Notice and a court date of April 24th, 2025.

 

Theft Under $5000

On March 17th at 9:11 PM an employee of a business in the Corral Centre reported a female left the store without paying for approximately $89.00 worth of merchandise. A description of the female, vehicle she left in, and license plate was given to Police. Police attended an address in the 700 block of 9th Street. A female, who matched the description, was seen running from the back of the address. She was apprehended after a brief foot pursuit. Property was recovered, she was arrested and transported to BPS. She was later released via Appearance Notice with a court date of June 9th, 2025.
