Warrants Executed
On Saturday May 31st, at approximately 1pm, Police located a 20yr old female in the zero hundred block of 10th St. known to be the subject of an Endorsed Warrant for breaching her Probation Order. She was released on an Appearance Notice with the court date set in July.
- On May 31st at approximately 2:42pm Police arrested a 17yr old male at his residence in the 300 block of 13th St. on the strength of an Endorsed Warrant. The accused was released on an Undertaking and will appear in Court in July to face the charge of theft under $5000.
- At 7:27pm on the evening of May 31st, Police received a call of a shoplifter at business in the 1400 block of 1st St. N. The female suspects originally provided a false name but when her identity was learned, she was found to be breaching the 24hr curfew clause of her Release Order. It was also discovered that she was the subject of a Warrant of arrest for six counts of breaching her Release Order, 2 counts of Assault with a weapon, Possess Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, possess a Controlled Substance, Mischief to Property and 2 counts of Fail to Attend Court. The 39yr old female was arrested and lodged in BPS cells to appear in Court in the morning
Breach Release Order
On Saturday morning, at 11:30am Police were requested to a residence in the 400 block of 12th St. for an individual who is intoxicated and refusing to leave. The 48yr old male suspect was bound by a Release Order not to consume alcohol. Upon arrest, the search of the subject resulted in a knife being found on his person resulting in a second charge for failing to comply with the Release Order, as he also has a condition not to possess weapons. He was lodged in cells to appear in Court in the morning.
Crowbar leads to Assault Charge
At 3:00pm Police were dispatched to the zero hundred block of 8th St. for a fight involving a person armed with a bike chain and a crowbar. The suspect was located in the 100 block of 6th St. and appeared to have also sustained a head injury that required medical treatment. He was transported to BRHC to receive medical treatment and was subsequently charged with Assault with a weapon and released on an Undertaking to appear in court in July.
Traffic stop leads to Drug Charges
At 10:30pm on Saturday evening, a traffic stop was conducted in the zero hundred block of 10th St. The female driver was found to be in possession of approximately 6 ounces of cocaine, with an approximate street value of $13,000. The 22yr old was released on an Undertaking and will appear in court in August.
Intoxicated Persons
- At 10:10pm on May 31st, Police came across a highly intoxicated male in the 1100 block of 18th St. Due to his level of intoxication and the fact that Police were unable to find someone sober to turn him over to, the 35yr old male was lodged in the cells to be released when sober.
- Just after 2:00am on Sunday morning, June 1st, Police were requested to attend to the Brandon Regional Health Center for a highly intoxicated male who is being aggressive towards staff. Due to his aggressive state and level of intoxication he was lodged at BPS to be released when sober.
