Assault / Uttering Threats
On January 30th at approximately 11:18AM Brandon Police Service became aware of allegations of a 41-year-old man assaulting and uttering threats to his girlfriend. The man was already in custody on an outstanding Warrant of Arrest, so he was arrested for the new allegations while in detention cells at Brandon Police Service. (BPS) He attended court in the afternoon.
IPDA
On January 30th at approximately 3:10PM police located a highly intoxicated 27-year-old male in the 700 block of Rosser Avenue who was unable to care for himself. He was medically cleared and held in detention cells until sober.
Arrest Warrant
On January 30th at 3:10PM police located and arrested a 42-year-old woman in the 700 block of Rosser Avenue on two outstanding Warrants for Arrest. (Charges Pending - Theft Under $5000 x2, Attempt Fraud and Assault). She was held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning on January 31st, 2025.
Possession for Trafficking - Cocaine / Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime
On January 30th members of Brandon Police Service’s Organized Crime Section conducted a CDSA (Controlled Drugs and Substances Act) investigation into Cocaine trafficking in Brandon by a 21-year-old male and a 19-year-old female. CDSA search was granted, and a traffic stop was conducted east of Brandon on Highway #1. The 21-year-old male was placed under arrest for Possession for Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine and Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime with $840 located on his person. A search warrant was executed in the 1400 block of Pacific Avenue and the 19-year-old female was inside the residence. During the search of the apartment members located approximately 128 grams of cocaine, packaging materials, and a digital scale. Both individuals were charged accordingly, arrested, held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning on January 31st, 2025.
Breach of Peace
On January 30th at 11:35PM security for a building in the 1100 block of 18th Street reported a highly intoxicated female who was trying to attack people. Police attended and located the 20-year-old female, took her for medical clearance, and held her in detention cells at BPS. Once sober she will be issued LGCA Consume in Public ticket and released.
Arrest Warrant
On January 31st at 4:44AM a pedestrian stop was conducted in the 3400 block of Victoria Avenue. A 25-year-old female was arrested and later released via Appearance Notice for her endorsed Warrant for Arrest. (Failure to Comply Probation). She will attend court on February 27th, 2025.
