Police Media Release - January 28, 2025

Warrant Executed

On January 27th at approximately 10:00AM a traffic stop was conducted with a vehicle during school zone traffic enforcement on Maryland Avenue. A records query returned that the 57-year-old male was the subject of a Warrant for Arrest for Theft Under $5000. He was processed and released on an Appearance Notice with a court date of March 3rd, 2025.

 

Theft Under $5000

On January 27th at 5:55PM a report of a theft of merchandise from a store in the 2600 block of Victoria Avenue came in to police. A 53-year-old woman was located in the area, matching the description provided, and found to have the merchandise on her person. She was processed and released on an Undertaking with a court date of April 7th, 2025.  

 

Voyeurism / Distribute Intimate Image without Consent

On January 24th it was reported that a 17-year-old male had secretly taken intimate footage without consent of him and a 16-year-old female. He sent it to her and possibly another yet to be determined person. The male was arrested, phone was seized, and statements were obtained. The male was released via Undertaking with a court date of April 8th, 2025.

 

 IPDA

On January 27th at 9:34PM there was a report of a disturbance in the 900 block of Rosser Avenue. Upon police arrival, a 26-year-old female was found to be highly intoxicated and needed to be removed from the location. To prevent further issues, she was held in detention cells and will be released once sober.

 

Failure to Comply Release Order

On January 27th just before midnight, a traffic stop was conducted in the 1300 block of Aberdeen Avenue. A 35-year-old woman, an occupant in the vehicle, was confirmed to have a 24-hour curfew. She was arrested and held in detention cells for court in the morning on January 28th, 2025.
