Arrest Warrants Executed
A 17 year-old female was located at her Frederick Street residence on Saturday morning and arrested on the strength of an arrest warrant for failing to attend for identification. She was processed and released back to the custody of a parent to appear in court on February 25th.
At approx. 12:50 PM Saturday afternoon, a 35 year-old male was arrested during a traffic stop after a records query returned that he was the subject of a warrant for arrest for failing to attend for identification. He was processed and released with a court date of February 20th.
On Saturday evening Police responded to a report of a disturbance at the Canad Inn. One of the subjects involved, a 26 year-old male, was found to be the subject of an unendorsed warrant for arrest for three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, under the Controlled Drugs & Substances Act, and failing to attend court. He was held in custody to appear before the court today.
A 37 year-old male was involved in a disturbance at a residence in the 1400 block 22nd Street. It was determined that he was the subject of a warrant for arrest for failing to comply with probation. He was held in custody due to his level of intoxication and later released to appear in court on February 18th.
During regular patrol, a 24 year-old male was located in the 0-00 block 9th Street at about 4:30 AM Sunday morning. Police recognized the male and a records query revealed that he was the subject of an unendorsed warrant for arrest for assault, sexual assault, and failing to attend court. He was held in custody to appear before the court today.
Aggravated Assault
A 34 year-old female was arrested for aggravated assault as a result of a complaint received on January 25th, arising from a disturbance at the Keystone Motor Inn. The female is alleged to have “bottled” a male on the head resulting in significant injury. She was released on appropriate police imposed conditions and is to appear in court on April 7th.
Shoplifter
On December 23rd, an employee from Winners reported that on November 11th, two female suspects stole approx. $1000 in merchandise from the store. From video surveillance, one of the suspects was identified and on Saturday morning, the 28 year-old suspect was located and arrested for the offence of theft under $5000. She was released on appropriate police-imposed conditions and is to appear in court on April 7th.
Others
Four persons were detained because of their intoxication and involvement in disturbances, or their inability to care for themselves. Upon sobering up, they were released from custody without charges.
