Police Media Release - January 10, 2025

Failure to Comply Undertaking

On January 8th it was reported that a 30-year-old male was breaching a No Contact Order. The male had contacted his ex multiple times over the last few days with comments escalating. The female was relocated for her safety, the male was located and arrested by police on January 9th. He was held for court.

 

Arrest Warrant

On January 9th at 8:46PM police located a 34-year-old male near the 900 block of Victoria Avenue and arrested him on the strength of a Warrant for Arrest (Possession of Property Obtained by Crime). He was later released via Appearance Notice with a court date of March 6th, 2025.

 

Failure to Comply Release Order / Consuming Liquor in Public

On January 9th at 9:23PM police noted a 41-year-old male consuming liquor in the 200 block of 9th Street. The male was arrested for Possessing/Consuming Liquor in Public (LGCA) as well as for Failure to Comply Release Order where he is not to consume alcohol. He was later released via Appearance Notice with a court date of March 6th, 2025.

 

Arrest Warrant

On January 9th at 10:39PM a 35-year-old female was noted in the 1300 block of 5th Street. She was arrested on the strength of her Warrant for Arrest (Failure to Comply Release Order). She was later released via Appearance Notice with a court date of March 6th, 2025.

 

Arrest Warrant

On January 10th at 1:00AM a 39-year-old female was noted near the 800 block of Pacific Avenue. She was arrested on the strength of her Warrant for Arrest. (Failure to Attend Court). She was held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning on January 10th, 2025. 

 

Breach of Peace

On January 10th at 1:19AM police were contacted by a cab company regarding a driver in the 100 block of 13th Street having issues with a fare. Police attended and found a highly intoxicated 26-year-old male who was found to be the cause of the disturbance. He was arrested for Breach of Peace. He was held in detention cells and will be released once sober.

 

IPDA (Intoxicated Persons Detention Act)

On January 10th at 1:31PM a call came in claiming a couple was fighting in the residence. Police attended and it was determined that the issue was in fact the highly intoxicated 47-year-old female caller. She was arrested, held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning.
