Police Media Release - February 4, 2025

IPDA

On February 3rd at 11:50PM Brandon Police Service (BPS) was called to a disturbance at a residence on Garwood Drive. A highly intoxicated 28-year-old female was found to be the cause of issues. Failed attempts to find a responsible and sober adult to turn her over to so she was held in detention cells and will be released once sober.

 

RCMP Warrant Executed

On February 4th at 4:15AM police were called to the 200 block of 9th Street by security to a report of a highly intoxicated female who was going around banging on doors. Police attended and arrested a 45-year-old woman on the strength of her endorsed RCMP Warrant for Arrest. She was held in detention cells due to her intoxication level and is expected to be released via Appearance Notice in the morning. Court date to be determined by RCMP.

 

Arrest Warrant

On February 3rd at 1:05PM a BPS officer attended Brandon Correctional Centre (BCC) and arrested a 26-year-old male on an unendorsed Warrant of Arrest (Disobey Court Order). He remains in custody for court on February 4th, 2025.

 

Sexual Assault / Sexual Interference

On February 3rd at 12:25PM, because of an ongoing historic investigation, an 18-year-old male was arrested while arriving to his residence. He was interviewed, an alternative address was found, and he was released on conditions for court on April 7th, 2025.
