Theft of Merchandise leads to Arrest

On December 28th, 2024, a 39yr old male attended to a business in the 3400 block of Victoria Ave, grabbed some merchandise off of the shelf and then left without paying for it. He was identified through video surveillance, located on Saturday, and charged accordingly. He was released on an Undertaking and will appear in Court in April.

 

Intoxicated Male arrested for 3 counts of Assault

At approximately 7:25pm on February 1st, Police were called to a residence in the 1300 block of 8th St. for a male that was trying to fight everyone. A 25yr old male was found to have assaulted his girlfriend and two others within the residence, as well as breaching the alcohol condition contrary to his Court Order. He was arrested, lodged in cells until he is sober, and then released on an Undertaking with a Court date in April.

 

Warrants Executed

  • At 9:35am on Saturday Police received a call of an unwanted person on the property at a residence in the 100 block of 3rd St. A 51yr old male was located and found to have an endorsed Warrant for his arrest for Fail to Comply with his Probation Order. He arrested and then released on an Appearance Notice with a scheduled court date in March.
  • At 9:45am a 31yr old male turned himself in at Bps as he was aware of an existing Warrant for his arrest for Fail to Attend Court. He will appear in Court April.
  • Early Sunday morning at 1:53am Police conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of 2nd St. One of the occupants of the vehicle was found to have an outstanding Warrant of arrest Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Proceeds of Crime, Fail to Attend Court and Fail to Comply with his Probation Order. He was arrested and Lodged for Court.

 

Intoxicated Persons Detention Act

Three (3) persons were arrested through the night as they were found to be intoxicated, unable to care for themselves and no sober adult to turn them over to. As a result, a 31yr old male, a 37yr old male and a 54yr old female were lodged in cells at Bps to be released when sober.

 

Breach of Peace

  • At 2:38am Police attended to a residence on Cornell Bay in response to a 33yr old male highly intoxicated and causing problems. He was held in cells to be released when sober.
  • Police responded to a disturbance call at approximately 2:49am in the 400 block of Assiniboine Ave. A 24yr old male was found to be the one responsible. Once sober he will be released from cells.
