Police Media Release - February 11, 2025

Vehicle Fire
On February 10th at 10:00PM, Brandon Police Service (BPS) and Brandon Fire & Emergency Services (BFES)responded to a report of a truck on fire with the flames encroaching on the adjacent home. The fire was extinguished and was determined to be caused by a faulty block heater. No injuries or damage to the home. The vehicle was towed.
Failure to Comply Undertaking X2
On February10th at 10:52PM a 16-year-old female youth was found to be breaching her curfew and had also gotten into a cab, contrary to her release conditions not to ride a cab without her mother present. The youth was located and arrested in the 1500 block of 26th Street. She was held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning on February 11th, 2025.
Arrest Warrant
On February 11th at 1:29AM Police located and arrested a 46-year-old male in the 800 block of Pacific Avenue on an outstanding Warrant of Arrest (Failure to Attend Court X2 and Public Mischief). He was held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning on February 11th, 2025.
RCMP Warrant Executed
On February 10th at 10:15AM Police attended a residence on Clark Drive and arrested a 49-year-old male on his outstanding Warrant of Arrest (Failure to Comply Release Order and Obstruct Justice). He was held in detention cells to attend court in the morning.
Warrant Executed
On February 10th at 12:30PM a 43-year-old male attended BPS and turned himself in on his Warrant of Arrest. He was held in detention cells to attend court.
Sexual Assault X3 / Sexual Interference X3
On February 10th Police attended Brandon Correctional Centre and arrested and charged a 21-year-old male after a historical sexual assault investigation led to the victim disclosing that she was sexually assaulted by the accused when she was seven years old. He was remanded back into custody and will attend court in the morning on February 11th, 2025.
