Arrest Warrants

Early Saturday afternoon, a 28 year-old male resident from Grand Rapids, MB attended to BPS to surrender himself as he was aware a warrant for his arrest had been issued.  The warrant was confirmed, he was processed, and later released to appear in Grand Rapids in February to answer to three counts of arson causing damage to property.

Another 28 year-old male, from The Pas, was arrested on two outstanding warrants for arrest on Saturday afternoon when he was encountered during an unrelated investigation.  A police records query returned the warrants: one for break and enter with intent, and the other for failing to attend court. He was processed, and later released to appear in The Pas.

Late Saturday afternoon, a 27 year-old female was arrested on the strength of a RCMP-held warrant for arrest for possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 and failing to attend court.  This occurred when the accused was arrested during an unrelated theft investigation.  As the warrant was not endorsed, she was held in custody to appear before the court this morning.

A 39 year-old female was arrested late Sunday evening on the strength of a warrant for arrest for failing to attend court.  She had been observed in the downtown area and was known to the officer.  A records check returned the warrant and she was brought into custody to appear before the court today.
