Arrest Warrant
A 30 year-old male was arrested on an outstanding warrant for arrest, for failing to comply with probation order, after police were called to a residence in the 1000 block 6th Street on Friday morning to remove two unwanted people. He was released from custody to appear in court on January 30th.
At about 5:30 PM Friday afternoon, a 39 year-old male was arrested on the strength of a warrant for arrest for failing to attend court when he was observed at Super Store when Police were there for an unrelated matter. The accused was held in custody and will appear before the court this morning.
Domestic Related Incident
Just before 9:00 AM Friday morning, a report was received from a female caller reporting that her boyfriend had attended to her Acadia Blvd residence, had assaulted her, and then ripped a necklace off of her. The 24 year-old suspect then fled the victim’s residence and was believed to have gone to another nearby family member’s residence. He was confirmed to be in the residence but refused to exit. Judicial authorization to enter the residence was sought and granted, and the accused was taken into custody around 5:40 PM. He will appear before the court today facing charges of theft under $5000, possess weapon, fail to comply with release order, and resist arrest.
Breach of Undertaking
A highly intoxicated 20 year-old female was arrested on Westaway Bay at around 4:00 AM this morning after it was reported that she was outside of a residence there contrary to an undertaking she is currently bound by. The accused reportedly tried to break a window with a chair prior to police arrival. When police arrived on scene, the suspect tried to run away but was quickly apprehended. Once medically cleared, she was lodged to sober up and will be released later today to appear in court on January 30th.
