Police Media Release - December 5, 2024
Failure to Comply with Undertaking X2
On December 4th at 9:09AM police were requested to remove a male from a residence. The 48-year-old male had been arrested the previous evening for assaulting the caller, 40-year-old female. Police attended and the subject was arrested for Breaching Conditions not to communicate with or attend to the residence of the complainant. Upon being arrested he was held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning on December 5th.
Arrest Warrant – Assault
On December 4th at 11:53AM a 49-year-old male was located in the 1700 block of Middleton Avenue and was found to have an unendorsed Warrant for Arrest. He was arrested, held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning on December 5th.
Arrest Warrant – Failure to Comply with Probation
On December 4th at 1:42PM a 36-year-old female turned herself in to Brandon Police Service (BPS) as her probation officer told her she had a warrant. She was arrested and released on an Appearance Notice with a court date of February 17th, 2025.
Arrest Warrant – Breach of Probation
On December 4th at 1:08PM a 35-year-old female turned herself into BPS as she was aware she had a Warrant for her arrest. She was released via Appearance Notice with a court date in Winnipeg on January 29th, 2025.
Failure to Comply with Release Order
On December 4th at 8:38PM police noted a vehicle in the downtown area contrary to conditions from the 2023 John Project of the 85-year-old male’s Release Order. The male was arrested and held in detention cells with court in the morning on December 5th.
Arrest Warrant - Failure to Attend Court
On December 2nd at 10:10PM police conducted a walk through at a hotel in the 100 block of 10th Street and observed a 40-year-old male who had a Warrant. He was arrested and released via Undertaking with a court date of January 20th, 2025.
Prohibited Driving / Failure to Comply with Release Order / Failure to Comply with Undertaking
On December 4th at 11:11PM police conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of 1st Street. The driver, 50-year-old male, was bound by a Release Order not to occupy the driver’s seat of a motor vehicle as well as an Undertaking 10:00PM – 7:00AM curfew condition. The vehicle was towed, and the male was arrested and held in BPS detention cells. He will attend court in the morning on December 5th.
Breach of Probation X7 / Resist Arrest
Between the dates of November 23, 2024, and December 4th, 2024, a 13-year-old male failed to abide by his curfew on seven occasions. On December 4th, 2024, at 11:55PM, the male youth was located by police at his residence after fleeing from police earlier in the evening. He was arrested, held in BPS detention cells, and will attend court in the morning on December 5th.
Failure to Comply with Probation / Failure to Comply with Release Order
On December 5th at 2:51AM a 26-year-old male fled from police in the 400 block of 15th Street. The male was later located and arrested in the 500 block of 14th Street having two Warrants for Arrest. He was held in detention cells at BPS with court in the morning on December 5th.
Refuse to Provide Sample with Demand / Possess Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order
On December 5th at 3:44PM a traffic stop was conducted in the 300 block of 18th Street North. The driver showed signs of impairment and refused to provide a breath sample. There was a large amount of ammunition in the cab of the vehicle as well as two skinned deer in the back of the vehicle. The deer were seized by conservation. The 28-year-old male was held in custody for court (Saskatchewan resident) and will attend court in the morning on December 5th.
Break and Enter and Commit Theft
On November 25th, 2024, reports of people breaking into a laundromat and using the facilities were given to police. On December 5th two people, a 28-year-old female and a 30-year-old male, were charged. They were released via an Undertaking with a court date of February 10th, 2025.
