Police Media Release - December 30, 2024

Assault
On December 29th 2024 at approximately 9:54 AM, Police were called to an establishment in the 700 block of Princess Avenue as a male was causing a disturbance and spitting. A 35 year old male was arrested for assault as a result of him spitting on another patron and was later released on an Undertaking to appear for Court in March 2025.
Breach of the Peace
On December 29th 2024 at approximately 10:15 Am, Police were called to a residence located in the 300 block of Lorne Avenue due to an intoxicated guest causing a disturbance. The 33 year old male was arrested and lodged in detention cells to be released once sober.
Theft Under $5000
On December 29th 2024 at approximately 4:30 PM, Police were called to a business located in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue as caller reported a suspect attempting to conceal items before leaving the business with the unpaid merchandise. The 38 year old female was arrested for the theft and was released to appear for Court in March 2025.
Fail to Comply With Release Order
On December 29th 2024 it was reported to Police that a 15 year old male was breaching his Court ordered curfew. At approximately 8:30 PM, Police attended an address in the 100 block of 13th street where the suspect was arrested without incident. The youth was held in detention cells to appear for Court in the morning of December 30th.
Assault Peace Officer
On December 27th 2024 a facility located in the 300 block of Veteran’s Way reported one of their staff had been assaulted by another individual by spitting/scratching their face. The 33 year old female suspect was arrested and lodged to appear for Court in the morning of December 30th.
Assault/Fail to Comply with Probation
On December 30th at approximately 12:45 AM, Police were conducting a walk-through of a business located in the 3000 block of Victoria Avenue where a 40 year old female was located and arrested due to an assault complaint reported on December 28th; she was lodged in detention cells to appear for Court later on December 30th.
While dealing with this matter, a female who was in company of the suspect was also found to be in breach of their Probation Order as she was on conditions to not be around her. This 28 year old female was arrested and released to appear for Court in March 2025.
