Impaired Driving

On December 20, 2024, police responded to a report of a vehicle striking a business in the 3500 block of Victoria Ave. at 3:52 pm.  There were no reported injuries, but there was significant damage to the building.  The 46-year-old male driver showed signs of being impaired by drug and was arrested for Operation While Impaired.  Following an evaluation by a Drug Recognition Expert, he provided a sample of his blood for future analysis.  He was released to appear in court on January 2, 2025, on a charge of Operation While Impaired.

 

Breach of the Peace

On December 20, 2024, shortly before 9:00 am, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male at a business in the 100 block of 8th street.  The 30-year-old male was agitated and refusing to leave.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

Shortly after 9:00 pm, police responded to a male who had called 911 multiple times throughout the evening, with no emergency or complaint.  To prevent the 46-year-old male from continuing his behavior, he was lodged until sober.

 

Arrest Warrants

Over the last 24-hours three females were arrested on outstanding warrants.  A 48-year-old will appear in court in the New Year on a charge of Breach of Probation, a 34-year-old will appear in court today on a charge of Breach of Conditional Sentence Order, and a 35-year-old will appear in court in the New Year on a charge of Fail to Comply with Probation.

 

IPDA

On December 20, 2024 at approximately 8:00 pm, police located a 28-year-old male in the 000 block of 10th street.  He was intoxicated and had nowhere to stay for the evening.  He was lodged until sober.

Shortly before midnight, police responded to a report of two intoxicated females who had worn out their welcome at a residence with nowhere to stay.  The 20-year-old female was lodged until sober, and a 15-year-old female was arrested on outstanding charges of Breach of Probation.  She will appear in court today.
