Police Media Release - December 20, 2024

Arrest Warrant
On December 19th at 3:17PM police were called to a business in the 200 block of 8th Street where a male had entered the building, was swearing and causing a disturbance. The 37-year-old male was arrested on the strength of a Warrant of Arrest (Breach of Probation). He was acting aggressively and was held in detention cells. He will be released on an Appearance Notice once he is calmer.

On December 19th at 3:42PM, a traffic stop was conducted in the 700 block of 1st Street. Upon identifying a 33-year-old male it was found that he had four outstanding Warrants for Arrest from MFNP, RCMP, and WPS. He was arrested and held in detention cells for court in the morning on December 20th, 2024.

On December 19th at 8:24PM an officer located a 35-year-old woman walking in the 1300 block of 13th Street who had an unendorsed Warrant of Arrest. (Theft Under $5000). She was found sober, arrested, held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning on December 20th, 2024.
Arrest Warrant
On December 19th at 10:16PM an officer located a 40-year-old woman walking in the 000 block of 10th Street who had an unendorsed Warrant of Arrest. (Failure to Attend Court / other charges under the Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.) She was found sober, arrested, held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning on December 20th, 2024.

On December 19th at 11:47PM a call came in to police of a male in the 000 block of Princess Avenue East not dressed for the weather and believed to be intoxicated. Within minutes 911 reported a similar described male laying on the ground at Pacific and 1st Street. Police located the 43-year-old intoxicated male. He was arrested and held in detention cells to be released in the morning once sober.

On December 20th at 12:52AM while an officer was on patrol, he located a 32-year-old male in the 000 block of 15th Street. It was confirmed the male was wanted on an unendorsed Warrant of Arrest (Failure to Attend Court / Breach of Probation). The male was arrested and held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning on December 20th, 2024.
IPDA
On December 20th at 1:25AM, a highly intoxicated male was arrested in the 1500 block of Lorne Avenue. He was held in detention cells and will be released in the morning once sober.
Arrest Warrant
On December 20th at 1:18AM a report of an 18-year-old female on a property where she was not welcome was called in. Upon police arrival she was not on scene. At 2:13AM she was located sober. It was confirmed she was wanted on an unendorsed Warrant of Arrest (Assault with a Weapon / Breach of Probation). She was arrested, held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning on December 20th, 2024.
Breach of the Peace
On December 20th at 2:04AM police assistance was requested to remove a 33-year-old intoxicated woman who was causing a disturbance. Police attended and arrested the woman who was causing a scene and would not leave. She was held in detention cells to be released in the morning once sober.
