Arrest Warrant (Failure to Comply Release Order X3 / Possess a Weapon)

On December 9th at 8:45AM police attended Brandon Correctional Centre (BCC) and executed a Warrant for Arrest on a 25-year-old male who was being held in custody. He has a court date in the morning on December 10th, 2024.

 

Motor Vehicle Accident

On December 9th at 1:05pm a police cruiser was involved in a collision. The officer was stopped at the light/in traffic in the south bound lane at 13th Street and Victoria Avenue. A west-bound vehicle was on Victoria Avenue and attempted to make a right-hand turn on to northbound 13th and failed to navigate the corner, striking the cruiser on the passenger side. There were no injuries sustained.

 

Arrest Warrant – Breach of Probation

On December 9th at 3:17PM police were notified of a 39-year-old male’s location in the 600 block of Pacific Avenue. Police attended aware of the warrant for his arrest. The male was arrested and later released via Appearance Notice with a court date of January 14th, 2025.

 

Assault

On December 7th at 3:45PM police attended a home on Ashgrove Boulevard and arrested a 17-year-old male who had been reported for slapping and kicking his ex-girlfriend, an 18-year-old female. He was later released via an Undertaking with a court date of January 7th, 2025.

 

Assault with Weapon

On December 9th at 9:51PM police were called to the 200 block of 8th Street due to a pepper spray attack. Two youth had been playing basketball and had an altercation when a 14-year-old male youth pepper sprayed a 15-year-old male youth. The accused fled prior to police arrival however he was soon located in the 600 block of Brentwood Trailor Court. He was returned to Brandon Police Service and released to his father. A court date of February 18th, 2025, has been set.

 

Failure to Attend Court X2

On December 9th at 11:15PM a 23-year-old female attended to BPS on another matter, and she was found to have two endorsed BPS Warrants for Arrest. She was released via Appearance Notice with a court date of January 6th, 2025.

 

Breach of the Peace

On December 10th at 1:33AM police attended a residence in the 100 block of 13th Street due to a disturbance with an intoxicated 29-year-old male. The male was removed and will be held in BPS detention cells until sober.

 

Arrest Warrant with New Charges

On December 10th at 1:10AM a traffic stop with a taxi was conducted in the 900 block of 18th Street and a 34-year-old passenger falsely identified himself. He was identified and found to have a Warrant for Arrest for Failure to Comply with Release Order.

The male is currently bound by the Release Order which includes conditions to residency, curfew, and carrying a copy of the order – all of which he was breaching. The male was arrested, held in BPS detention cells, and will attend court in the morning on December 10th, 2024.
