Police Media Release - December 1, 2024

Failure to Attend Court
On November 30th at 11:08AM police noted a 23-year-old female who was spotted out front of a shelter who had a Warrant for Arrest. She was arrested, held in detention cells and attended court December 1st, 2024.
Disobey Court Order
On November 30th a 17-year-old male attended Brandon Police Service (BPS) knowing he had Disobeyed a Court Order where he attempted to add someone on SnapChat whom had a Protection Order on him. He was released via Appearance Notice with a court date of January 28th, 2025.
Failure to Attend Court
On November 30th at approximately 1:03PM police attended the 1500 block of 26th Street where they arrested a 36-year-old female on an Endorsed Warrant for Arrest. She was later released on an Appearance Notice with a court date of December 23rd, 2024.
Assault
On the evening of November 24th, a 16-year-old female assaulted a 16-year-old female in an unprovoked attack at a restaurant in the 1900 block of Richmond Avenue. The 16-year-old female attended BPS with her mother, to whom she was released to on an Undertaking. Court date is set for February 4th, 2025.
Failure to Comply with Release Order
On November 30th at 4:12PM a 29-year-old male was stopped while operating a rental vehicle, travelling eastbound on the TransCanada Highway. Search revealed that he was bound by a Release Order from Thunder Bay, ON, with a condition to not occupy the driver’s seat of any conveyance. Vehicle was towed. Male was arrested and held in detention cells with court in the morning on December 1st, 2024.
Failure to Comply with Probation
On November 30th at 11:23PM a 28-year-old female was located in the VLT area of a hotel in the 3100 block of Victoria Avenue. Police were aware of her Warrant. She was arrested and released on scene with a court date of January 23rd, 2025.
IPDA (Intoxicated Persons Detention Act)
On November 30th a highly intoxicated 23-year-male was the subject of an intoxicated person complaint in the 1200 block of 18th Street. He was found highly intoxicated with no shoes or jacket. He was taken by BFES to the hospital for medical treatment for mild frostbite. Once treated he was still highly intoxicated with nowhere to go. He was held in BPS detention cells to prevent further issues as well as prevent physical harm from the cold. He was released once sober.
Failure to Comply Probation / Failure to Attend Court
On December 1st at 4:26AM police located a 26-year-old male known to be wanted on an Unendorsed Warrant walking in the 100 block of 8th Street. He was arrested, held in detention cells and attended court in the morning on December 1st, 2024.
