Warrant Arrest

On Tuesday, August 6th a 67-year-old male attended BPS to turn himself in on an unendorsed warrant for Failure to Attend Court held by BPS. He was lodged for court in the morning.

 

Break & Enter

On August 6th police received a report of a break & enter at a business in the 1600 block of 18th St N.  Two males cut the fence to the compound and one of them entered. It does not appear there was further damage, and nothing is reported missing. Suspect walked around with flashlight for five minutes then left. Video surveillance obtained.

In addition, the same business reports that the catalytic converters were stolen off a client vehicle sometime between August 1st, 2024, and August 6th, 2024.

Break & Enter

On August 6th police received reports of a break and enter to a residence in the 1500 block of 26th Street. A resident had been evicted from the residence the beginning of July – between then and now, the apartment was entered via the patio door. Police continue to investigate this matter. Sexual Assault

On August 6th at 9:29AM there was report of a sexual assault which occurred in the 1100 block of Princess Avenue. The male, who had inappropriately touched a stranger (male) while asking for a cigarette, was arrested by police. The 48-year-old male was later released on an Undertaking and court is scheduled for October 15th, 2024.

 

Breach of Undertaking

On August 6th a 16-year-old male was arrested for Breach of Undertaking. He had a curfew of which was not complied with. Male was arrested and later released on an Appearance Notice for court on September 10th, 2024.

 

Assault Causing Bodily Harm

On August 6th a female attended BPS to report that on August 4th, 2024, she was assaulted. The female victim sustained a broken finger and possible concussion. Incident was captured on video. A 23-year-old female was arrested and later released on an Undertaking with a court date of October 24th, 2024.

 

Female Confined & Assaulted  

On August 6th at 6:37PM police received a report that on August 3rd a female had attended a residence in the 600 block of 8th Street, where she was then victim to two days of assault, threats and forcible confinement and is now in hospital after escaping.  A 44-year-old male was arrested at his residence. Victim’s property which had been taken away, was recovered at time of arrest. Male is in custody and facing charges of Assault, Assault with a Weapon, Uttering Threats, Forcible Confinement, and Failure to Comply with Release Order.

 

Arrest Warrant

On August 6th 8:30PM police conducted a persons stop in the 300 block of 10th Street. A 47-year-old female was confirmed to have a Warrant of Arrest for Failure to Comply with Probation X2 and DNA Warrant. She was sober and arrested without incident. Court date set for September 9th, 2024. 

 

Breach of the Peace

On August 6th at 8:45PM police were called to a disturbance at a hotel in the 1100 block of 18th Street. A 36-year-old female who was highly intoxicated was arrested to prevent further incident. She was lodged and will be released once sober.
