Failure to Comply Release Order X2 / Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose

On August 14th at 8:40AM police were called to a disturbance of arguing in the 100 block of Southern Avenue. The parties were soon located a few blocks over. A 38-year-old male had a backpack which contained a dagger, box cuter and slingshot but is on conditions not to possess weapons. Released on Appearance Notice with court on October 7th, 2024.

 

Theft Under $5000 X2

On August 14th at 1:46PM police were at a business in the Corral Centre on another matter when they were informed the store had someone in custody for shoplifting. The 26-year-old male had tried shoplifting approximately $150 in clothing. Released on an Undertaking with a court date of October 24th, 2024.

 

Shooting – Bullet Through Garage Door

On August 14th at 7:05PM police attended a residence on Lily Crescent where the owner found what appeared to be a bullet hole in the door to the garage. Police continue to investigate.

On August 15th at 12:55AM police were informed caller heard a gunshot/saw a muzzle flash on the southeast side of the Colonial Inn. Police attended to the area, K9 called out and attempted a track. Spoke to resident of Lily Crescent and no new holes located. Surveillance is under review and police continue to investigate. Anyone with information is asked to contact Brandon Police Service.

 

Failure to Comply with Undertaking X2

On August 14th police attended to the 300 block of Dennis Street and arrested a 17-year-old female for failing to comply with her Undertaking curfew condition twice in August. The female was released via Appearance Notice and returned to care with her guardians. Court date set for October 22, 2024.

 

Possession of Dangerous Weapon

On August 15th at 12:52AM a persons check was conducted in the 1300 block of Rosser Avenue and was found to be in possession of a weapon. (Metal bar with screws attached to a chain). The 43-year-old male was arrested and later released on an Undertaking with a court date of October 24th, 2024.
