Police Media Release - April 19, 2025

Fail to Comply with Release Order 

At 2:41 pm, a call was received stating a male was at an address in the 800 block of Rosser Ave that he was not supposed to be at. The subject left just prior to Police arrival but his vehicle was located in the 1000 block of Rosser Ave and during the traffic stop he was found to have a female in the vehicle that he was on conditions to have no communication with. She also resides at a residence where the initial call was from. The 40-year-old male was arrested and charges with two counts of failing to comply with his release order and held for court.

 

Impaired Driving/Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle

At 8:11 pm, a vehicle was reported stolen from the 2100 block of Currie Blvd. There were other calls also received of a vehicle of the same description driving recklessly around various other parts of the city. The vehicle was abandoned on 13th St East and a K9 track was initiated. The suspect surrendered in the 1200 block of Lorne Ave E. The 24-year-old male was arrested and taken to BPS and provided breath samples over twice the legal limit. He was charged with impaired driving, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime and also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The accused was held in custody for court in the morning.

 

Domestic Assault

At 5:13 pm, Police responded to a call at a residence in the 700 block of 6th St. It was determined that 24 year old female had been assaulted her boyfriend by striking him in the face numerous times. The suspect had left the scene prior to police arrival but was located at a residence in the 700 block of 10th St at 12:50 am and was arrested for the assault. She was also charged with breaching her condition of her undertaking not to communicate with the victim. She was held in custody for court.

 

Warrants

Five other individuals were arrested on outstanding warrants for arrest over the 24 hours.
