Police Media Release - April 16, 2025

Arrest Warrant
On April 15th at 10:00AM a 37-year-old female was located at her residence in the 600 block of 9th Street and arrested on the strength of an unendorsed Warrant of Arrest (Failure to Comply Probation). She was arrested, held in detention cells at Brandon Police Service (BPS) and attended court later that morning.
Theft Under $5000
On April 14th a report was received of a theft of approximately $60 worth of merchandise from a store in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue. The thief was identified and on April 15th at 10:41AM the 51-year-old male was located in the 800 block of Rosser Avenue. He was released on an Undertaking with a court date of June 23rd, 2025.
Structure Fire
On April 15th at 12:55PM a 911 call of a garage fire in the 200 block of 5th Street came in. Members attended, alongside Brandon Fire and Emergency Services (BFES), and found the garage was fully engulfed. Residents in the area evacuated as a precaution. A vehicle across the back lane sustained some minor melting to a rear light. No injuries. The fire remains under investigation with BFES.
Arrest Warrant
On April 15th at 3:20PM a persons check was conducted in the 1300 block of Princess Avenue. It was revealed that the 30-year-old female had an endorsed Warrant for Arrest (Failure to Comply Probation). She was released via Appearance Notice with a court date of May 15th, 2025.
Failure to Comply Undertaking
A curfew check was conducted the evening of April 14th and a 22-year-old male was not home. The male turned himself in to BPS and he was released on an Undertaking with a court date of June 9th, 2025.
Assault / Failure to Comply Probation
On April 15th at 5:18PM police members were waved down regarding an assault in the 800 block of Rosser Avenue. A Town Centre security officer had his phone taken by a male who attempted to break it. The male then proceeded to grab the security officer’s jacket. The male was arrested and found to be on a Probation Order not to attend the Town Centre. He was released on an Undertaking with a court date of June 9th, 2025.
