Police Media Release - April 13, 2025

Trafficking Cocaine

On April 13, 2025, shortly after 2:00 am, police conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of Rosser Ave after having observed a male known to them, leaving a licensed establishment, contrary to his Release conditions.  Following his arrest, he was also found to be in possession of cocaine.  He was lodged to appear in court on charges of Fail to Comply with Release Order X2, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine, and Possess Proceeds of Crime.

 

Possess Weapon

On April 12, 2025, shortly before 6:00 am, police were requested to remove an unwanted male from an apartment building common area, as the male did not have any reason to be there and was suspected of having a knife.  Police arrested the 52-year-old male and recovered the knife he was carrying.  He was released to appear in court on June 16, 2025.

 

Assault

On April 12, 2025, shortly before 8:00 am, police responded to a report that an employee in a business in the 800 block of Rosser Ave had been punched in the face by a male suspect.  Police located and arrested the 34-year-old suspect nearby.  He will appear in court on June 23, 2025, on a charge of Assault.

 

Breach of the Peace

On April 12, 2025, at approximately 2:30 pm a 29-year-old female and a 47-year-old female were found fighting each other in the 000 block of 7th street.  They were both arrested and lodged to prevent their behavior from continuing.

Shortly after 8:00 pm, employees from a community organization requested police remove a male who was refusing to leave and becoming belligerent with staff.  The 20-year-old male continued to be uncooperative with police and was lodged.

On April 13, 2025, at approximately 12:30 am, police received a complaint of a fight in the 1400 block of 7th street.  An intoxicated 19-year-old male was arrested and lodged to prevent his behavior from escalating.

 

Arrest Warrants

On April 12, 2025, two-adult males and an adult female were arrested in separate incidents on outstanding arrest warrants.
