November 25, 2025 - New Product For Radon Mitigation

The City of Brandon’s Planning and Buildings Department has approved Green Drain trap seals for radon mitigation.
 
Previously, only Dranjers were permitted for preventing radon migration through floor drains. After reviewing available products, Green Drain trap seals were found to meet all required criteria and comply with ASSE 1072 standards for barrier-type trap seals, satisfying code requirements for radon prevention.

Effective immediately, Green Drain trap seals are approved for use in Brandon to prevent radon migration through floor drains.
