Police News Release - October 19th, 2025

Highlights for the last 24 hours:

 

 

Possession of a Weapon

 

At 6:40 am, a call was received of a male causing a disturbance outside of a residence in the 600 block of 16th St. Upon Police arrival at scene a 27-year-old male was located and found to be in possession of a can of bear spray as well as a knife. The subject was arrested and later released on an undertaking.

 

 

Assault

 

At 2:51 pm, Police received a call stating an unknown female was causing a disturbance at a business in the 1600 block of 18th St. Investigation revealed that the 34-year-old female had assaulted a staff member by punching him in the face. No significant injury was sustained as a result of this incident. The female was arrested and held until sober before being released on an undertaking.

 

 

Forcible Confinement

 

At 5:13 pm, Police were called to a residence in the 100 block of 12th St East for an unknown situation. Further investigation led to a disclosure from the female at the residence that a 46-year-old male had assaulted the female as well as making threats to her and not allowing her to leave the residence. The suspect was arrested and later released on an undertaking after being charged with assault, forcible confinement and uttering threats.

 

 

Assault with a Weapon

 

At 11:05 pm, Police were called to the 1500 of 3rd St for a call stating two females had refused to pay their fair and then sprayed the driver with an unknown substance and then fled into a residence. A 15-year-old female was arrested and charged with possessing a weapon, assault with a weapon and fraudulently obtaining transportation. The second suspect is currently still outstanding.
