March 13, 2024 - Brandon - A Changing City

Over the last five years Brandon Census Metropolitan Area (CMA) has welcomed over 5,700 new permanent residents, including highs in 2022 and 2023 of 1,885 and 1,480 residents respectively.
 
During 2022 & 2023 the Brandon CMA tied the Winkler CMA for the highest provincial per capita rate of new permanent residents, exceeding the Winnipeg CMA.
 
Brandon is a changing city. Every year we are becoming more diverse with increasing demands for different housing types and tenures. Providing land use and parking flexibility is key to ensure our City is meeting the housing needs for all our residents.
