Flood Update - July 13
As of 7:00 a.m. this morning, the Assiniboine River level at 1st Street was 1,179.46 feet, indicating the river level has stabilized and reached its peak overnight.
Since July 7th, river levels have risen by approximately 7.5 feet. Residents should continue to remain proactive and stay prepared as conditions can still change.
River levels are expected to remain high for the next several days before a slow decline begins. Please beware the flood forecast could change if significant rainfall is received locally or elsewhere within the Shellmouth Reservoir or Assiniboine River basin.
Safety Reminder
Please stay away from the Assiniboine River, floodwaters, dikes, and other flood protection infrastructure. Fast-moving water, unstable banks, and hidden hazards can create dangerous conditions, even when water levels appear calm. For your safety, keep a safe distance and never attempt to enter floodwaters.
City crews continue to monitor conditions around the clock and will provide updates as needed.
