Canada Day Hours of Operation
Brandon, MB – Please be advised of the following hours of operation for Canada Day, July 1, 2025.
Brandon City Hall (410-9th Street), A.R. McDiarmid Civic Complex (638 Princess Avenue), Civic Services Complex (382 Park Avenue E.), and Parks Complex (2020 McGregor Avenue) are all closed.
Brandon Transit will be running from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Transit Information Centre will be closed.
Brandon’s Community Sportsplex will be closed.
The Eastview Landfill will be closed. Regular residential collection will continue on Tue, July 1.
All after-hours Public Works emergencies should be directed to the City of Brandon Public Works After-Hours Line at 204-729-2285.

Reminder: Permits are required for fireworks!
A reminder from Brandon Fire & Emergency Services, that pursuant to City of Brandon By-law #7200, no person shall purchase fireworks, fire, set off, or otherwise ignite any fireworks in or above the City except under a permit issued by the Fire Chief. Additionally, if any fireworks are purchased at a retailer within the City of Brandon, the retailer must provide a waiver form for the purchaser to sign stating that the fireworks will not be set off within the City of Brandon. Individuals found to be in contravention of the Fireworks By-Law may face a fine of anywhere between $200 and $1,000.
Celebrate Canada Day At the Riverbank!
Join us at the Riverbank Discovery Centre on Tue, July 1 for Canada Day celebrations! Festivities begin at 11 a.m., followed by official opening ceremonies at 1 p.m. A dedicated kids zone will run from 12 Noon – 8 p.m. featuring bouncy castles, giant lawn games, face painting, and arts & crafts. Market vendors will be on site from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m., and food vendors will be available throughout the day. The celebration will conclude with fireworks at dusk.
