November 8, 2024 - Manitoba Housing Programs

The  Manitoba government has released their new housing programs. The programs prioritize affordable housing with streams for:

• Proposal Development Funding
• Capital Funding Program
• Rental Housing Construction Incentive
• Support Services Funding for New Supply
• Operating Funding for New Supply

 
The program also includes a Rental Housing Construction Incentive to kickstart the construction of rental housing. Applicants can claim a tax credit up to 8% of eligible construction capital costs to a maximum of $8,500 per market unit and $13,500 per affordable unit.
