Temporary Closure of Red Willow Pathway Due to Overland Flooding
Brandon, MB - Outflow from the Shellmouth Dam has increased the Assiniboine River levels, with the river expected to peak this weekend. River levels are expected to remain high for the coming weeks.
Due to overland flooding, the Red Willow Pathway and walking bridge have been temporarily closed for public safety. Please avoid the area and follow posted signage.
Anyone visiting the Assiniboine River Corridor is asked to use extreme caution near the river. Please keep a close eye on young children and pets at all times, as open and fast-moving water can be dangerous.
