Reminder: Please Stay off Dike Systems for Your Safety

As flood preparations continue, residents are reminded that the temporary dike system and surrounding work areas are closed to the public.

The dike is not designed for walking, cycling, or recreational use. Heavy equipment, uneven surfaces, ongoing work, and changing ground conditions create significant safety risks.

Please:

• Stay off the dike system and away from construction areas
• Respect all barricades, fencing, and signage
• Keep children and pets away from closed areas
• Avoid riverbanks and flooded or low-lying areas

 Every person who enters a restricted area puts both themselves and emergency crews at risk.
