Proposed 2027 Water & Wastewater Utility Rates Under Consideration
Brandon, MB - The City of Brandon is providing notice to ratepayers regarding proposed water and wastewater utility rates effective Jan. 1, 2027.
The proposed rates are intended to balance affordability with the costs of providing safe, reliable drinking water and wastewater services while maintaining infrastructure in a financially sustainable manner. The proposed rates are as follows:

For a typical residential household of four, the proposed changes represent an estimated increase of $5.19 per month.
The proposed rates and supporting rate study report will be presented to City Council at the next regular meeting on Mon, June 15, 2026. If Council gives first reading to By-Law No. 7450, the rates will be submitted to the Manitoba Public Utilities Board (PUB) for review and approval.
Residents will have additional opportunities to provide public input as part of the PUB review process.
