Police News Release - September 3rd, 2026

Breach of the Peace / Protective Detention and Care of Intoxicated Persons Act
In the past 24 hours two individuals from separate incidents were arrested for Breach of the Peace and one for PDCIPA and were held in Brandon Police Service (BPS) detention cells. They will be released once sober.
Arrest Warrants
Over the past 24 hours, BPS officers arrested four individuals on their outstanding Warrants for Arrest. Three were arrested and later released via Appearance Notices with future court dates and one was held in BPS detention cells to attend court in the morning on September 3rd, 2026.
Indecent Act in Public Place
On September 2nd at 1:46 p.m. a 38-year-old male turned himself in to BPS after he was identified from a parking lot masturbating incident on July 23rd, 2026. The male was arrested and processed. He was later released via Undertaking with a future court date of November 16th, 2026.
Theft of Motor Vehicle / Failure to Comply Probation / Arrest Warrant/ Tickets
On September 2nd at 2:31 p.m., police received a report of a stolen Ford Bronco from a residence on Clark Drive. The owner had briefly entered the residence, leaving the vehicle’s key fob inside. When they returned shortly afterward, the vehicle was gone. The vehicle’s GPS system located the Bronco at a restaurant in the 200 block of 18th Street North. Police attended the location while the vehicle owner obtained security camera footage from the residence. The description of the suspect captured on video matched a youth who remained at the location with the stolen vehicle. A 15-year-old male youth was arrested and held in custody to appear in court on September 3rd. The youth’s family was notified.
The youth was charged with Theft of a Motor Vehicle and issued a ticket for driving without a valid driver’s license. The youth was also served two endorsed RCMP Warrants for Arrest.
Assault
On September 3rd, 2026, at 1:24 a.m., Brandon Police Service responded to a residence on Willowdale Crescent following a report of a domestic dispute between a couple. Upon arrival, officers learned that a 50-year-old female had been assaulted by her 43-year-old boyfriend, who had struck and pushed her during the altercation. The 43-year-old male was arrested at the scene without incident and brought to BPS detention cells. He is scheduled to appear in court on the morning of September 3rd, 2026.
