Police News Release - Sept 22nd, 2026

Arrest Warrants
In the last 24 hours two individuals were arrested on the strength of their Warrants for Arrest. Both individuals were brought to Brandon Police Service (BPS) detention cells and held for court.
Stolen Vehicle
BPS is investigating the theft of a 2018 blue Honda CR-V that was reported stolen on September 21st at 9:37 a.m. The vehicle was taken from an apartment parking stall sometime between 10:30 p.m. on September 20th and 9:35 a.m. on September 21st.
A few days prior, the owner’s apartment had been broken into, and the spare vehicle key was stolen during that incident. The front license plate, KBJ 720, has paint that is said to be half faded. The vehicle was estimated to have about 200kms worth of gas in it. No other distinguishable features. Mischief Under $5000
On September 21st at 9:34 p.m. police were dispatched to a hotel in the 100 block of 5th Street regarding a male who had broken a window with a rock. The 29-year-old male was located and identified as the suspect. He was brought to BPS detention cells to be released via Undertaking in the morning with a future court date of November 30th, 2026.
Failure to Comply Undertaking
On September 21st at 11:04 p.m., BPS received a report that a female, who was prohibited by court order from attending a hotel in the 800 block of Pacific Avenue, had returned to the property. Police attended and located the 28-year-old female. She was arrested for failing to comply with her court order and brought to BPS detention cells.
She is scheduled to appear in court in the morning on September 22nd, 2026.
Assault
On September 22nd at 12:07 a.m., BPS officers responded to a report of an assault in the 100 block of 5th Street. Police located the 18-year-old female suspect in the 100 block of 4th Street. Video surveillance showed the suspect punching the female victim and pulling her by the hair down a stairway. The suspect was arrested for Assault and brought to BPS detention cells. She is scheduled to appear in court in the morning on September 22nd, 2026.
Fraudulently Obtain Transportation
On the evening of September 21st, BPS received a report of a female who took a taxi to a residence on Queens Avenue and entered the home without paying the $30 fare. Police located the female inside the residence. It was determined she had taken the taxi without the means to pay for the ride. The intoxicated female was arrested for Fraudulently Obtaining Transportation and brought to BPS detention cells. She will be released once sober on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on November 17th, 2026.
