Police News Release October 4th, 2026

Breach of the Peace
In the past 24 hours two individuals were arrested for Breach of the Peace and held in Brandon Police Service (BPS) detention cells. They were released once sober in the morning.
Arrest Warrants
Over the past 24 hours, BPS officers arrested three individuals on their outstanding Warrants for Arrest. Two were arrested and later released via Undertaking/Appearance Notice with future court dates and one was held in BPS detention cells for a court appearance in the morning.
Assault and Mischief to Property
On October 3rd at 6:53pm, BPS Officers responded to a disturbance at a local restaurant. Police determined that a 32-year-old female had caused damage to a cash register and had assaulted a staff member. She was arrested and was held in BPS detention cells for a court appearance in the morning.
Assault IPV
On October 4th at 4:55 a.m., BPS officers responded to a report of an assault at a residence in the 1200 block of 9th Street. Police determined that a 34-year-old male had assaulted his girlfriend. He was arrested for assault and was held in BPS detention cells. He will be released for a future court date on an undertaking.
