Police News Release-May 2nd, 2026

Assault with a Weapon

On May 1, 2026, shortly after 1:00 pm, police responded to a report of an individual who had been sprayed with bear mase in the 800 block of Rosser Ave.  The victim received medical treatment and was released.  Police located and arrested the 16-year-old male suspect nearby.  He was to abide by a court order not to possess any weapons.  He was lodged to appear in court today on charges of Assault with a Weapon, Possess Weapon Dangerous, Carry Concealed Weapon and Fail to Comply with Probation X2.

 

Breach of Undertaking

On May 2, 2026, shortly after 3:00 am, police responded to a report of a male and female screaming at each other at a residence. The 20-year-old male was to abide by conditions not to attend the address.  He was arrested and lodged to be released once sober.  He will appear in court on a later date.

 

Breach of the Peace / IPDA

Over the past 24 hours 6 individuals were arrested during separate incidents and lodged until sober due to their behavior stemming from drugs or alcohol consumption.

 

Arrest Warrants

Over the past 24 hours 3 individuals were arrested on outstanding warrants.
