Police News Release - May 25th, 2026

Protective Detention and Care of Intoxicated Persons Act
In the past 24 hours one individual was arrested under the Protective Detention and Care of Intoxicated Persons Act. Police were informed of a highly intoxicated individual in the 100 block of Victoria Avenue. Upon attending they located the 40-year-old female now passed out in a back alley. For her safety she was brought to BPS detention cells to be released once sober.
Arrest Warrants
In the past 24 hours two individuals were arrested on the strength of their endorsed Warrants for Arrest. The individuals were later released with future court dates.
Failure to Comply Release Order x2
On May 24th, 2026, police attended a residence in the 100 block of 2nd Street following a report of an intoxicated female causing a disturbance. Officers located the 22-year-old female at the residence and determined she was in breach of her Release Orders, which required her to abstain from drugs and alcohol and prohibited contact with the homeowner. She was arrested and held in custody for court on the morning of May 25th, 2026.
Failure to Comply Release Order x3
On May 24th, 2026, police were called to a residence in the 700 block of 6th Street to assist in removing a 30-year-old male who was prohibited from attending the residence and from having contact with a female at the location. Police also determined the male was in breach of his 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. curfew conditions. He was arrested and held in BPS custody for court on the morning of May 25th, 2026.
Uttering Threats
On May 8th, 2026, a 50-year-old male was in the parking lot at the Corral Centre when he was approached by a 24-year-old male who was known to him. During the interaction, the male uttered threats toward the 50-year-old male. On May 24th, 2026, police located and arrested the 24-year-old male and charged him with Uttering Threats. He was later released on an Appearance Notice with a future court date of August 4th, 2026.
