Highlights for the last 24 hours:

 

 

Resist Arrest / Assault

 

At 1:05 pm, a call was received from a female stating she had just been assaulted by a male at a residence in the 800 block of 5th St. Once on scene Police learned the 22-year-old male had assaulted the female and also failed to pay for the taxi ride he had just had to that address. The suspect resisted police while being arrested and was lodged until sober and will be released on an undertaking at that time.

 

 

Assault

 

At 10:10 am, a call was received from a female stating that she had just been assaulted by her boyfriend in the alley of the 200 block of 4th St. The 52-year-old male suspect was located and arrested and later released on an undertaking.

 

 

Impaired Driving / Resisting Arrest

 

At 4:07 am, a traffic stop was conducted, and the driver was found to be highly intoxicated and uncooperative. The 49-year-old female was arrested for impaired driving and then resisted arrest. She was transported to Brandon Police Service where she then refused to provide breath samples. She was charged with impaired driving, refusing to provide breath samples and resisting arrest. She was held in custody and released on an appearance notice when sober.
