Breach of the Peace / Protective Detention and Care of Intoxicated Persons Act
In the past 24 hours two individuals were arrested for Breach of the Peace and three for Protective Detention and Care of Intoxicated Persons Act. All individuals were brought to Brandon Police Service (BPS) detention cells to be released once sober/calm.
Arrest Warrants
In the past 24 hours one individual was arrested on the strength of a Warrant for Arrest. The individual was held for court in the morning on May 17th, 2026.
Possession of a Weapon x3
On May 17th at 1:57 a.m. BPS received a report of a recently smashed window on a truck in the 2700 block of Lorne Avenue. Officers located a 46-year-old male in the area who was holding a hatchet. The male was taken into custody and a search incident to arrest located a canister of pepper spray and a baton. The male was help at BPS until sober and will be released on an Undertaking to appear in court on July 20th, 2026.
Breach of Probation
On May 17th at 4:12 a.m. BPS conducted a pedestrian check with a 23-year-old male at a business in the 800 block of Rosser Avenue. The male was on a probation order with a condition not to attend this location. The male was arrested and held at BPS for court in the morning.
