Police News Release - May 12th, 2026

Arrest Warrants

In the past 24 hours one individual was arrested on the strength of their Warrant for Arrest. Released with a future court date of June 8th, 2026.

 

Breach of the Peace / Protective Detention and Care of Intoxicated Persons Act

Over the last 24 hours, police attended 4 separate incidents in which 3 individuals were arrested and lodged until sober.

 

Failure to Comply Release Order

On May 11th at 10:06 p.m police were requested to remove a 52 year old male from a hotel in the 1900 block of Queens Avenue. The male was found to be breaching Release Orders. He was arrested and held in detention cells for court in the morning.

 

Theft Under $5000

On April 15th, a bicycle was reported stolen from outside an apartment building in the 2100 block of Brandon Avenue. Security footage later identified two suspects: a 31-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman.

On May 11th, both individuals were arrested in connection with the theft. They were subsequently released on Appearance Notices and are scheduled to appear in court at a later date. The male is set to appear on July 16th, while the female’s court date is July 13th.
