Police News Release - April 9th, 2026

Arrest Warrants

In the past 24 hours four individuals were arrested on the strength of their Warrants for Arrest.  Two individuals were released via Appearance Notice with future court dates and two were held for court in the morning.   

 

Failure to Comply Undertaking

On April 8th at 9:55 a.m. a 33-year-old male attended a place of business in the 300 block of 9th Street however he was on conditions not to attend said property. The male was escorted off the property and at 11:56 a.m. police located and arrested the male in the 200 block of 10th Street. The male was charged with Failing to Comply with Undertaking and was later released via Appearance Notice with a future court date of June 4th, 2026.

 

Protective Detention & Care of Intoxicated Persons Act (PDCIPA)

In the past 24 hours one individual was arrested for PDCIPA. They were arrested and held in BPS detention cells to be released once sober and able to care for themselves.

 

Failure to Comply Undertaking

On April 8th at 5:20 p.m. police responded to a report of an intoxicated female passed out in the hallway of an apartment building in the 900 block of Rosser Avenue. The 19-year-old female was located and identified. She is on conditions not to consume. The female was arrested, brought to BPS detention cells and will be released via Appearance Notice once sober and able to care for herself. A future court date of June 4th, 2026 has been set.

 

Disobey Court Order

On April 8th at 10:04 p.m. in the 100 block of 26th Street, police conducted a vehicle stop in which a passenger in the vehicle, 26-year-old male, had a no contact order with the driver. The male passenger was arrested and later released via Appearance Notice with a future court date of June 18th, 2026.
