Breach of the Peace / Protective Detention & Care of Intoxicated Persons Act
Over the past 24 hours, two individuals were arrested for Breach of the Peace, while an additional three individuals, who were highly intoxicated, were taken into custody under the Protective Detention & Care of Intoxicated Persons Act (PDCIPA). All will be released once sober.
Failure to Comply Undertaking x2
On June 6th, 2026, police received information that a 14-year-old female had breached a non-communication condition by approaching a 14-year-old female while they were at the fair. It was further reported that the accused had sent messages to the individual through social media. On June 7th, 2026, at approximately 8:00 p.m., the female attended BPS to turn herself in and was arrested for Breach of Undertaking. She was subsequently released on an Appearance Notice with a court date of August 10, 2026.
Possession of a Weapon / Breach of Probation
On June 7th at 4:25 p.m., a caller reported that a male was in the middle of Princess Park carrying a large knife. A description of the male was provided, and officers immediately attended the area. The 47-year-old male was located, and the knife was found in his possession. He was arrested without incident and brought into BPS cells to be held for court on the morning of June 8th, 2026. The male was subject to conditions prohibiting him from possessing any weapons.
